Description:
New Zealand International Doctoral Research(NZIDRS) Scholarship 2017 has been announced which is funded by New Zealand government under the administration of 'Education New Zealand'. The scholarship is provided to talented and committed international applicants. The Government of New Zealand intends to retain the successful scholarship holders by providing them settlement opportunities after completion of their PhD.
The NZIDRS Scholarship is a very competitive and highly prestigious award. It is awarded on the basis of applicant's academic achievements. The second important parameter is the RESEARCH PROPOSAL submitted by the candidate and the proposed research should be beneficial to the development and advancement of New Zealand.
Requirments:
This scholarship is for doctoral studies and provide grant for three years.
Grant benifits:
Successful candidates will be provided following benefits:
Full tuition fee.
A tax-free annual stipend of NZ$ 25,000
Annual Medical Insurance of NZ$ 600, approximately
Eligibility Criteria:
The candidate should have secured a doctoral (Ph.D) admission in any of the universities in New Zealand before August 30th, 2017. Student can then apply for NZIDRS Scholarship.
An applicant is also eligible to apply if he/she is already pursuing doctoral studies in New Zealand. The commencement of studies in such cases should not be before 01 July, 2016.
Applicant should not be a Permanent Resident (PR Holder) or Citizenship Holder of New Zealand at the time of application.
Applicant should have at least 3.7 out of 4 GPA in his recently completed degree, prior to intended doctoral (Ph.D) studies through NZIDRS Scholarship.
Discipline of Doctoral Studies
Any discipline of studies leading to the development of New Zealand is welcome.

University of Canterbury, University of Otago, University of Waikato, AUT University, Lincoln University, Massey University, University of Auckland, Victoria University of Wellington.
