Research Fellowships and Engineering for Development Research Fellowships in UK, 2017

Description: Royal Academy of Engineering is placing an offer for Research Fellowships & Engineering for Development Research Fellowships to commence study in the UK. All students (international and national both are eligible) but candidates who are not from EU, the host educational institution will responsible for securing necessary work permits.
                                                                     

Its purpose is to enable outstanding early career researchers for their  independent research career establishment. Applicants will need to be host by UK higher education institute or university.

Requirements: Fellowships can avail to pursue research for promotion of excellence in engineering.

Scholarship Benefits: 

Its contains following benefits:

Successful candidates will get 80% of the full economic costs of the research for a 5 years and  remaining 20% will provide by host institution.

Eligibility Criteria: 

 The candidate will be selected on the basis following criteria:

• Research Fellowships should held at  UK HEI(Higher Education Institute) in an engineering department or in a department that demonstrates capability of fully support for an engineering-focus research  project & researcher
• Applicant will responsible to contact with host institution and get formal approval from relevant HOD (Head of Department) submit an application
• The proposed project should from an engineering area.
•  Applicants awarded their PhD  degree no more than 4 years
• PhD candidates are eligible to apply but should have their PhD degree before they start.
• Candidate should not hold permanent academic position (as lecturers  are not eligible)
• Research Fellows must devote all their attention to Research Fellowship and it is main only source of employment and money
• Applicants who have applied in past but unsuccessful are eligible to apply again . The applicant eligible to decide whether re-submit previous proposal or submit new proposal
• All Research Fellowships must commence from 1st August 2018 and 30 November 2018, unless the  Academy advises for it otherwise
• There is limit on no; of applications for each host institution as if applications will be out of  limit, will be rejected. The no; of applications is only 3 per host institution for 2017/18 session. Institutions/universities are likely to have an internal selection process that applicants must find out about
• Incomplete applications are will rejected.
