University of Laval International Scholarships in Canada, 2018

University of Laval is offering master’s scholarships for international students for 2018. Scholarships are available for postgraduate degree program.

The aim of scholarship is to promote academic excellence for foreign students who are nationals  of an African/European country (other than France) and allow to study master’s program at University of Laval.
University of Laval is the oldest centre of education in Canada, and was the first institution in North America to offer higher education in French.

Requirements: Scholarships are awarded to pursue master’s program.
 Scholarships are available for following programs:

1. Faculty of Law
2.  Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies
3.  Faculty of Forestry Geography and Geomatics
4. Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences
5. Faculty of Dentistry
6. Faculty of Music
7.  Faculty of Pharmacy
8. Faculty of Philosophy
9.  Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Food
10. Faculty of Educational Sciences
11. Faculty of Science and Engineering
12. Faculty of Nursing
13. Faculty of Social Sciences 
14. Faculty of Theology and Religious Studies.

Scholarship Benefits: 

Its contains following benefits:

$7,000 annually is renewable once
 subject to compliance with faculty’s criteria of excellence & upon the research director’s recommendation & faculty approval.

Eligibility criteria:

•  acceptance in required program.
• foreign student can apply who is citizen of an African/European country except France.
• It is important that candidates graduated from  public university accredited by ministry of higher education in your country of  origin. For private  institutions, eligibility is  determined when the file will be reviewed.
• candidates are registered for full time two first semesters in program of study for which the scholarship was  granted.

English Language Requirements: Applicants must have fulfill English proficiency requirements.


How to Apply:
There is no form required to fill for master’s level scholarships.
 as Scholarships are automatically awarded to   candidates admitted for master’s program.
Recipients will selected by using information from admission applications received by University Laval.
To be  considered, candidates must submit complete application for admission to University,especially no later than last date of target semester.
 Foreign nationals admitted to program of more than six months must go through  immigration procedures with Canadian & Québec governments to obtain Québec Certificate  of Acceptance (CAQ), a Study Permit (Canada) & Mandatory Medical & Hospital Insurance .
